Popular brands and quality products are facing the menace of counterfeiting, infringement and other Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) violations. The problem is plaguing markets around the world, and inflicting losses on consumers, legitimate business and national exchequers. The health and safety of consumers are at stake due to the rampant violations of IPRs.

Anti Counterfeit and Infringement Forum (ACIF), Pakistan was therefore established in year 2005. ACIF is a unique industrial alliance in Pakistan , striving to raise awareness about protection of IPRs in order to create level playing field for the legitimate industry and better protection of the rights of consumers. The Forum focuses on efforts to convince the stakeholders, including the concerned government quarters, to protect the IPRs, in all forms, in the country.
